Requirements
Experience in audio production, music technology, or equivalent expertise gained through work in the audio industry.
Familiarity with various audio production workflows.
Practical experience with studio software and hardware, including Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), plug-ins, I/O hardware, control surfaces, and more.
Proficiency in both Windows and macOS platforms.
Strong understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
Experience with task and bug-tracking tools like Jira.
Exceptional ability to stay focused and systematically break down complex issues to identify their root cause.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
The perfect candidate also has:
Several years of experience working in the audio production industry;
Prior exposure to quality assurance in the software industry;
Experience as a Pro Tools user;
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will use your extensive audio industry experience, technical mindset, and curiosity to verify the quality, performance, and compatibility of new systems and our desktop applications and related hardware. This includes Pro Tools and its supported peripherals.
This role is part of a high-performing Agile scrum team with members in Europe.
Typical responsibilities include:
Testing the functionality, performance, and compatibility of Pro Tools and audio applications across various scenarios and system configurations, including DAWs, plug-ins, supported audio peripherals, and hardware.
Collaborating closely with other testers, software developers, project managers, and product designers to identify issues, assess risks, and ensure high quality standards, with a particular focus on system compatibility and peripheral integration.
Reproducing and isolating bugs, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility issues, including those reported by users, and documenting steps and test environments to facilitate debugging and replication.
Developing comprehensive test cases, creating test plans, and documenting test procedures for various music production and post-production workflows, while ensuring compatibility with supported peripherals.
Working as part of a globally distributed team, collaborating with members across European and United States time zones, ensuring seamless communication and quality assurance across regions.
