As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking a proactive Business Development Representative. This role is ideal for a driven individual with a knack for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the maritime technology market. It's an opportunity to contribute significantly to our scaling efforts, riding the wave of both investment and strong organic growth.

Your mission

As a BDR at Kaiko Systems, you will play a key role in our growth strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing meaningful partnerships. Your mission is to expand our footprint in the maritime technology sector across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, ensuring Kaiko Systems becomes a recognized leader in these crucial markets.
You will be:

  • Actively seeking out and engaging with potential clients and partners to introduce Kaiko Systems’ innovative solutions, driving new business opportunities.
  • Conducting market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and challenges within the maritime industry, using these insights to tailor your approach and strategies.
  • Organizing and participating in industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility, network with potential clients, and stay abreast of industry developments.
  • Providing feedback from the market to our product and engineering teams, helping to shape the development of new features and solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Working closely with the operations teams to ensure a smooth transition of new clients, facilitating a positive onboarding experience and fostering long-term relationships.

Your profile

  • You have a solid background in business development or sales, with a proven track record of generating new business within the maritime or technology sectors, preferably in the EMEA region.
  • You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • You are a self-starter, motivated by targets, and capable of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities independently.
  • Your analytical skills enable you to interpret market trends and data, translating them into actionable business strategies.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting quickly to change and embracing challenges.
  • You have a passion for technology and innovation, with a keen interest in contributing to the transformation of the maritime industry.
