Frontend Engineer (based in Germany)

Your mission
We are looking for a highly motivated Frontend Developer (full time, 40h/week) who is looking for new challenges.
We provide a flexible work environment within a diverse and talented team. You will be a part of a small group that can shape the look and functionality of our platform.
Main Responsibilities
Frontend Development
- Develop and maintain user-facing features using modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks (specifically: React and Nextjs).
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs seamlessly.
- Optimize web applications for performance and responsiveness across devices.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with designers and product managers to implement user-centered designs.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Provide input on technical solutions and propose innovative ideas to enhance user experience.
Your profile
Technical Skills
- 3-5 years experience in a front end development role, preferably working on consumer-facing web applications
- Proficiency in modern frontend technologies: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/ TypeScript.
- Experience with the Redux library and Nextjs framework.
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS, Emotion, Styled components.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration processes.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Comfortable with testing applications using unit tests, integration tests and e2e tests (jest, playwright)
- Experience in getting applications production ready using package systems and setting up ci/cd pipelines (github actions).
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with agile development practices is a plus.
