Key Account & Sales Lead (Berlin)

Your mission

Five Elephant, a Berlin-based specialty coffee roastery and bakery, is looking for a Key Account & Sales Lead to join our dynamic team. If you’re passionate about coffee, customer success, and driving business growth through data-driven decisions, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Key Account & Sales Lead, you will play a vital role in managing key accounts, driving revenue, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Sales, you’ll also leverage your analytical skills to assess sales performance, generate insights, and support strategic decision-making. Exceptional people skills and the ability to foster meaningful connections are essential. Experience with web shop platforms like Shopify and CRM systems such as HubSpot will be a significant advantage as you optimize customer interactions and sales processes.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring exceptional service.
  • Drive revenue through lead generation, pricing negotiations, and deal closures.
  • Coordinate the sales and logistics of coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing tools.
  • Use Shopify and HubSpot to streamline account management, track customer interactions, and optimize the sales process.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and exceed expectations.

Sales Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze sales performance using tools like Shopify and HubSpot, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Generate detailed sales reports and present actionable insights to the Head of Marketing & Sales.
  • Monitor and track customer orders, ensuring alignment with sales targets and goals.

Customer Success & Technical Support

  • Manage customer onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration and satisfaction.
  • Organize and lead coffee cuppings, product demonstrations, and educational events for clients.
  • Provide technical input on bar setups, layout planning, and operational support for wholesale clients.

Retention & Business Development

  • Implement retention strategies, including managing standing orders and resolving technical issues.
  • Represent Five Elephant at sales events, coffee festivals, and partner meetings to strengthen existing relationships and build new connections.

Your profile

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or customer success, ideally in the coffee or hospitality industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and create actionable insights.
  • Technical knowledge of coffee equipment and barista operations is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful, trust-based relationships with customers.
  • A proactive mindset, comfortable with initiating customer interactions to identify opportunities, address needs and close deals.
