Description:
Sitting within Enterprise Technology, Product Engineering is responsible for developing high-quality software products for customers of Cox Automotive Europe.
Our team are responsible for the development and maintenance of multiple systems across the UK and European Wholesale division.
We are cloud native in our approach, seeking to leverage Managed Services where possible, enabling our developers to remain laser focused on delivering business value. The product that we are developing will require the adoption of appropriate, and best practise technologies to ensure we maximise value for our employees.

Requirements
As a Test Engineer, you will play a role within our Product Engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies.
Your expertise will be crucial in guaranteeing quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. If you are passionate about test automation and thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment, we want to hear from you.
Delivery of Quality is a must, and you will pride yourself not only on your code but all aspects of your work.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of web technologies;
- Must have programming experience with JavaScript/TypeScript;
- Must have experience with Cypress or Playwright (ideally with Typescript);
- Must have experience with AWS Cloud;
- Experience with Docker is a plus;
- GIT experience;
- Nice to have C# Knowledge for Automation;
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of risk management techniques and structuring of effort accordingly;
- Knowledge of Database technology;
- Experience of leading and testing during complex Integrations;
- Java knowledge;
Interpersonal and Non-Technical Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate arguments well and is comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A strong natural focus on what matters; delivering value and designing to minimise risk.
- Hands-on experience of working through the end-to-end project lifecycle within an Agile environment.
- The ability to work across multiple priorities in parallel and the ability to contribute to wider group strategies.
- Ability to work alone or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Develop and implement test strategies that align with product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, goals and to define testing milestones.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test cases to verify software functionality and performance.
- Perform exploratory testing where required, whilst seeking to automate all use cases.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
- Leverage automation tools and frameworks to streamline repetitive testing tasks and improve efficiency.
- Work on the continuous improvement of test automation practices and frameworks.
- Investigate, analyse, and document software defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Provide detailed and actionable feedback to development teams to enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality products.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to contribute to the overall development and testing process.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.
