About the opportunity
As part of the Procurement Team, you will be pivotal in managing ICT procurement projects. This role involves overseeing sourcing projects, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with internal processes, contractual agreements and European banking regulations. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to lead procurement initiatives, maintain and enhance relationships with key external partners, and secure the best value for N26. Additionally, you will support daily procurement operations as required.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute global strategic procurement strategies for ICT, including competitive bidding, supplier consolidation and contractual negotiations,
- Support the business by promoting the integration of strategic procurement principles and demonstrating their value to key internal stakeholders.
- Manage a dynamic pipeline of procurement projects, aligning them with broader strategic objectives.
- Share portfolio among four team members, focusing on ICT (Software, Hardware, Cloud) and Technology partnerships (Payments, product features).
- Lead procurement events and RFx processes.
- Negotiate and establish supplier agreements that satisfy the requirements of all stakeholders and comply with regulatory standards, while fostering long-term supplier relationships.
- Assess supplier capabilities and competitive positioning using industry-specific cost models.
- Assist in developing category strategies and maintaining detailed documentation of contracts, supplier data, spending, and other category-specific information.
- Optimize the supplier base to ensure the best outcomes for N26.
- Participate in the review and enhancement of Procurement policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and engaging culture within the Procurement Team.
- Become proficient in the tools and processes used by the Procurement team at N26.
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing, ideally within a technology-focused role ideally within fast paced startups, technology firms, or financial services.
Skills
- Proven expertise in managing end-to-end procurement projects, including contract negotiations, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements (European Banking).
- Comprehensive knowledge of indirect procurement categories, with a focus on ICT.
- Strategic thinker with a clear focus on business objectives and a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks.
- Capable of effectively communicating across all levels of seniority.
- Agile and adaptable work style, open to changing environments.
- Solid understanding of and experience with best-in-class procurement processes.
- Commercial acumen and robust negotiation skills.
