Description:
Our client provides a collaborative digital framework designed to synchronize incentives, enhance execution, build stronger relationships, and minimize manual tasks in the shipping and cargo industry.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working as a software developer
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Some experience and knowledge of Python or JavaScript/Node.js
- Project tech stack includes:
- AWS: EC2, S3, ECS, Kafka, SNS
- PostgreSQL, Aurora, Hibernate
- CI/CD: Jira, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker
- APMs: DataDog, New Relic, Cloudwatch
- Infosec: OWASP Top 10, SonarQube, AWS Inspector
- History of delivering high-cadence modern applications with applied Agile methodologies, test-first development approaches, adopting CI/CD pipelines and using Git version control.
- Proven experience in leading software/application development projects.
- Able to provide technical direction and authority to the whole delivery team (to developers, the project manager and other customer and executive stakeholders).
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills when collaborating with team members and external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities to understand and align technical work with business goals.

Job Responsibilities:
- Participates as the lead software developer on small Agile teams, delivering software-based solutions.
- Deliver high-quality code.
- Bring quality input into the projects by ensuring your code is tested, documented and takes into consideration performance, security and accessibility aspects when needed.
- Participate in the technical decisions on the projects you work on.
- Participate in the infrastructure setup and deployment activities.
- Provide help and support for other team members when needed.
- Get involved in projects research and initiatives, aimed at expanding the know-how of the team.
- Actively drive the technical part of sprint grooming, planning, and showcases alongside the project manager, providing ideas, suggestions and guidance to the rest of the team.
- Provide technical direction to the team and partner with the project manager on projects to drive them to a successful conclusion. This includes managing technical challenges and risks and identifying mitigation strategies.
