Senior PHP / Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role and your impact
The IT team are 30 people, who work together in three cross-functional teams. As you can see, we are product centered organization, with one third of our colleagues working in tech.
We are expanding our platform and will therefore develop new features in an agile and focused way.
To fulfill this role, you are responsible for the following tasks:
- Work in agile scrum teams with the goal of making access to legal consultation a step easier every day
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
- Support the team and implementation of frontend components using Vue.js, Nuxt, Tailwind CSS, Nuxt.js and few more
- Drive the development of GraphQL & RESTful APIs and backend services using PHP frameworks like Symfony and Laminas, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability of the overall system
- Contribute to our engineering standards to continuously improve the consistency and quality of our codebases and processes
- Implement automated testing strategies for frontend and backend codebases, utilizing frameworks such as Jest, PHPUnit and Cypress to ensure code quality, reliability and maintainability
- Work closely with our DevOps teams to streamline the deployment process, implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability and reliability
Your skills
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and related frontend technologies, with a deep understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns and best practices
- Proven experience (at least 3 years) in fullstack web development, with a strong focus on frontend technologies such as Vue.js, Vite, and Nuxt.js
- Hands-on experience with modern PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laminas, including proficiency in building and consuming GraphQL and RESTful APIs, working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), and implementing security best practices
- Have already gained experience in bigger codebases and in complex environments
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines) is a plus
- You are familiar with Design Patterns and software engineering best practices
- Fluent proficiency in German is a plus (or at least B2), as it may facilitate communication with stakeholders and team members (don’t worry: general communication in the IT team is in English)
